Our History
Creating healthier communities since 2011
Partnering with citizens and local organizations, West Virginia Prevention Solutions develops, coordinates, and administers innovative projects and provides needed resources to our community. We are charged with service coordination needs, resource assessment, planning, community mobilization and evaluation to improve service systems for children and families. West Virginia Prevention Solutions provides indirect services including managing, supervising, and coordinating a variety of programs and initiatives in our community. We also provide services to those who directly serve children and families, specifically organizations and groups.

West Virginia Prevention Solutions is a non-profit agency funded by grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, and the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, Bureau for Children & Families and Bureau for Behavior Health. Our purpose is to assess the needs of 13 Region 4 counties and pull together existing agencies to find ways to meet those needs.
