Prevention Day at the Legislature

The West Virginia Prevention First Alliance is proud to host the 2025 Prevention Day at the Legislature. Prevention Day will bring communities together to talk about the importance of prevention in their local areas as well as across the state.
This will be an exciting day in which community members and prevention professionals will be able to speak to their legislators about the issues happening in their communities and to also let them know of the efforts already being put forth to prevent the negative issues that are impacting our state.
The Prevention First Network encourages interested individuals and organizations to join in the legislative process by attending the Prevention Day at the Legislature on April 2, 2025. This is your chance to educate our legislators on the substance use prevention, suicide prevention, tobacco prevention, bullying prevention and more.
2 Ways to Join: Live at the West Virginia Capitol or Virtually via Livestream!
April 2nd is also Tobacco Free Day. Activities for Tobacco Free Day will take place at the Culture Center and Lower Rotunda.
